About the Opportunity

Your role as a Landfill Attendant is to provide efficient waste management services in the local community at various Waste Management Facilities within the Bundaberg Region.  

In this role, you will be responsible for the opening and closing of our waste management facility and securing the facility at allocated closing times, ensuring all clients have departed. You will also supervise gate entry, including the inspection of loads and directing clients to relevant drop-off points, as required.  In addition to this, you will be required to operate the Waste & Recycling gate and weighbridge software, maintain accurate records relating to waste and recycling activities, as well as completing daily cash reconciliations.

About You

  • You hold a current 'C' class Drivers Licence 
  • You hold a General Construction Induction (White) Card
  • Good organisation and communications skills (both written & verbal), together with excellent customer service skills
  • Sound level use of computer related software including MS Office Suite and weighbridge software or similar is highly desired
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Workplace, Health & Safety requirements
  • Knowledge in the various categories of valuable scrap materials or the ability to rapidly acquire such knowledge
  • Experience in cash handling and receipting
  • HR Licence and/or plant operator ticket in the use of an excavator, forklift and front end loader would be highly regarded
