About the role
The Burnside Hospital Sleep Centre provides high‑quality diagnostic and treatment services for adults with sleep disorders, contributing to the hospital’s mission of patient‑centred care, safety, and excellence. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sleep Technician (Level 2) to join our Sleep Centre team. This is a highly accountable and autonomous role where you will apply your expertise and competence to deliver safe, contemporary care and ensure patient satisfaction. You will be responsible for preparing and monitoring patients undergoing diagnostic and treatment sleep studies, using specialised equipment and software, and providing accurate reporting to clinical staff.
This position requires flexibility to work afternoon, evening, and overnight shifts on a roster basis, and by mutual agreement, to participate in the Sleep Centre’s on‑call roster. You will be trusted to work independently while collaborating closely with medical and nursing teams, demonstrating sound judgement, technical proficiency, and a patient‑focused approach.
