About us:

An exciting new chapter for Burnside Hospital, culminating in the creation of Burnside Hospital Stepney. The acquisition of a new hospital allows us to expand our operations across two conveniently located sites in the eastern suburbs.

With this strategic move, we effectively double our capabilities, growing from five operating theatres to ten and increasing our bed count from 76 to 125. Most importantly, this expansion enables us to provide even more care to our community.

Burnside Hospital continues to operate as a not-for-profit community hospital, sharing the same patient-first ethos. This means our commitment to putting patients at the forefront of everything we do will continue unabated.

If you are a motivated person and you are ready to be a part of a team where you can utilise your skills and passion to provide excellent patient-centered care, we want to hear from you!

About Our Hospital

Burnside War Memorial Hospital was established as a living memorial to the men and women of the District who gave their lives in the two World Wars, and all others who served, made possible through the foresight of the City of Burnside and the generous gift of Attunga by Otto Georg von Rieben in 1944. Today, Burnside Hospital remains a private not-for-profit community hospital, offering a range of services and clinics to care for and support the thousands of patients who choose to have their healthcare needs met here each year.
