About the Role:
The von Rieben Wards and High Dependency Unit are responsible for the safe contemporary care of patients within Burnside Hospital.
Von Rieben Wards are pivotal within the function of Burnside Hospital and as such contribute to the hospital achieving consistently, its mission, values and business objectives.
As an Assistant in Nursing (AIN) you will play a vital role in delivering safe contemporary care to patients, within the von Rieben Wards.
In this role, you will assist with direct patient care, maintain accurate health documentation, and communicate effectively with both patients and all healthcare professionals within the Hospital. Your contributions will be vital in ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of our patients.
About you:
You will be enrolled in an undergraduate nursing, having completed your first year or possess a Certificate IV in Health Services Assistance. This position allows you to work closely with Registered Nurses (RNs), Clinical Nurses (CNs), Enrolled Nurses (ENs) Visiting Medical Officers (VMOs) and Allied Health Professionals as you contribute to the nursing care plan and enhance patient experiences.
We are looking for compassionate, dedicated individuals who are eager to grow in their nursing careers.
- Must be a 2nd or 3rd year nursing student, or hold a Certificate IV in Health Services Assistance
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit
- Ability to follow directions and work well within a team under the supervision of RNs
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to safety protocols
- Your proactive attitude towards learning and development will be essential in this role as you assist in various patient care activities while adhering to hospital policies and procedures
