About the Role:
We have two part-time Catering Attendant positions available for Burnside Hospital - Stepney.
The Burnside Hospital Catering Centre is an important part of providing safe, contemporary care for all of our patients, doctors visitors and staff members, every time in our well-equipped kitchen 7 days a week.
The Catering Centre provide a varied menu, which is periodically reviewed to provide our patients choice, variety from day to day and catering to all dietary requirements and allergies.
Our highly skilled and qualified catering team serve fresh and nutritious meals for our patients to enjoy whilst in our facility without the use of deep frying or heavy use of fats. We cater for nut or other allergies, gluten insensitivities, special diets and religious specifications. Additionally, we provide meals to paying visitors as well as preparing a variety of food items for functions, management and doctors.
About you:
As a Catering Attendant, you will be an essential part of our hospitality team, working alongside chefs and other staff to provide high-quality food and beverage service. Your focus on food safety and customer satisfaction will help create a positive dining experience for our patients and visitors.
You will be responsible for the preparation and delivery of meals, ensuring compliance with food safety legislation and the highest standards of hygiene. Your attention to detail will be paramount as you assist in meal plating, set up trays, and deliver food to patients, ensuring their individual dietary needs are met.

- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
