About the role
Reporting to the Preadmissions Manager, the Preadmissions Nurse plays a critical role in ensuring patients are clinically and administratively prepared for their upcoming procedures. This position is responsible for conducting comprehensive preoperative assessments, identifying potential risks, and coordinating necessary investigations to optimise patient safety and surgical outcomes. Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including clinical and non-clinical staff and managers, visiting specialists and Allied Health professionals, the Preadmissions Nurse provides education, support, and reassurance to patients and their families, ensuring they are well-informed and confident about their care journey, enhancing the overall patient experience.
This is an exciting opportunity for an appropriately qualified Registered Nurse with preadmissions experience to join our Preadmissions team on a casual basis.
