Maintenance Officer

We currently have the opportunity for a Maintenance Officer to join our team at Blue Haven. The purpose of this role is to maintain Blue Haven Care Homes building, gardens and other property and manage the maintenance of the home. In this role you will participate as a positive team member and demonstrate the values of Blue Haven Care Home in all aspects of work and interactions.

What we offer:

  • Permanent part time, 37.5 hours per week. A job share arrangement would be considered for this position.
  • The ability to salary sacrifice up to $9,009 in pre-tax earnings plus $2,550 meal and entertainment card (for eligible employees) 
  • An annual salary from $58,032.59 to $58,716.65
  • Plus 11% superannuation
  • Plus applicable penalty rates

What you'll need to be successful in the role:

  • Experience with the use of mowers, whipper snippers and gardening equipment and building maintenance
  • Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing and mechanical
  • Basic knowledge of gardening/horticulture
  • Knowledge of the safe handling of chemicals
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with effective written documentation skills
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills and the ability to work without supervision
  • Class C Driver’s Licence.
