Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre (BMEC) is looking for a Visitor Experience Coordinator to lead the front of house and hospitality experience at one of regional Australia’s busiest and most loved venues.
From live shows, concerts and films to workshops, conferences, meetings and rehearsals, BMEC is always buzzing. This role sits right at the heart of the action and plays a big part in how people feel when they walk through our doors.
The Visitor Experience Coordinator looks after the day to day front of house and hospitality operations, leading staff and volunteer ushers to deliver friendly, calm and professional service. The role includes scheduling staff for events, preparing and sharing clear event briefs with staff and shift supervisors, and making sure everyone is confident and ready before doors open.

Essential Criteria
A positive and upbeat demeanour, well presented with a customer centric passion for hospitality and the overall experience of visitors within a venue.
Solutions orientated with a focus on improving process and systems for the benefit of customers and peers.
Ability to work harmoniously in a team environment
Proven experience leading staff and delivering the customer experience in a venue or similar setting.
A NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate.
A current paid NSW working with children check (Or willing to obtain).
Cash handling experience including preparation of floats and reconciliations
Experience with stocktaking and stock control to minimise ullage or write off.
Ability to prepare staff rosters and supervise staff
Ability to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
Confident with computers, apps and picking up new systems.
The role also oversees food and beverage services for patrons and venue clients, working closely with hirers and internal teams to make sure hospitality runs smoothly. Alongside this, the Visitor Experience Coordinator reviews processes, looks for ways to improve the visitor experience, and explores opportunities to strengthen the commercial side of front of house and hospitality operations. The role also ensures child safe protocols are understood and in place at an event level, supporting a safe and welcoming environment for young people and families.
This is mostly a weekday role however due to the nature of events, flexibility is required work out of hours including weekends to meet event delivery requirements.

Salary: $1,349.60 to $1,417.96 per week + 12% superannuation
Position Status: Permanent – Full-time
Hours of work: 38 hours per week - Hours of work may be rostered over 7 days including daytime, evenings and weekends as required.
