ABOUT THE ROLE


Join a small team of skilled Health, Safety, and Training professionals focused on implementing and improving the Safety Health & Management System (SHMS) to meet operational and legislative requirements. We ensure that our contracting partners adhere to relevant laws and Carmichael Coal Mine (CCM) standards. As champions of change, we promote best practices to enhance site safety culture, fostering accountability and responsibility across the site.

 

Supporting the Site Safety Manager and Mine Leadership Team this role will be responsible for governance and control of the electronic safety system of CCM.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Provide training to new users of safety systems – Bravus Staff and Contractors
  • Monitor relevant inboxes and take action as required
  • Support onboarding and mobilisation of contractor companies and personnel
  • Manage digital safety systems and record keeping including notice boards
  • Ordering and management of take 5 books, prestart books and associated safety items
  • Audit site/personnel compliance including contractors and shut down work and provide to safety advisors for action
  • Management of the workflow process for SHMS documents including requirements of Aconex.
  • Scanning and uploading documents into RSURED.
  • Conduct desktop compliance inspections against, roles, training and plant
  • Attend safety meetings and take minutes and publish with actions

Other qualifications and attributes required include: 

Necessary:

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite of software
  • Managing files and records
  • Experience providing site administrative support

Desired:

  • Experience of operating in remote location in similar role
  • Certificate IV in Business Administration
