ABOUT THE ROLE
The Construction Supervisor - Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) will support the planning, execution, and management of projects within our Mine and Rail operations with the opportunity to work across a wide variety of Projects including Water, Roads, Rail Infrastructure, Camps, Maintenance Facilities, Fuel Storage and associated infrastructure this role provides a great opportunity to support our growing operation. The successful applicant for this role can be based in either Townsville, Rockhampton or Bowen.

Key Accountabilities:
- Supervise a team of contractors in the execution of projects, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with engineering and planning teams to review project scopes, schedules, and resource requirements, and provide input on constructability, feasibility, and risk management.
- Oversee the construction and maintenance of infrastructure and facilities, to support our operations.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with engineering standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Manage equipment and material resources effectively, including procurement, allocation, and inventory management, to support timely and cost-effective project execution.
- Monitor project progress, productivity, and costs, and report on key performance indicators to management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and deviations from planned objectives.
- Provide technical guidance and support to in-field crews, assisting with problem-solving, interpretation of engineering drawings, and resolution of construction-related issues.
- Ensure that all project activities are carried out in accordance with safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company policies, and promote a culture of safety excellence among team members.
- Foster positive working relationships with internal stakeholders, contractors, and regulatory agencies, and facilitate effective communication and collaboration to achieve project goals.

Necessary:
- Current QLD Electrical Worker’s License
- Electrical trade qualifications
- SARC Safely Access the Rail Corridor (Nationally Accredited)
- RIW Card (Rail Industry Worker Identification)
- Standard 11 Coal Induction and eligibility to be appointed as a supervisor on a coal mine
- 5 + years’ experience in an equivalent position
- Current Open ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation, control systems, and PLCs, with hands-on experience in troubleshooting and repair.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations, codes, and standards governing electrical and instrumentation practices in industrial settings.
- Experience with coordinating site works across multiple projects.
- Ability to read and interpret project documents including, blueprints and drawings.
- Proficiency in demonstrating proposals and projects.
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and professional presentation skills.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise deadlines.
- Effective time management and problem-solving skills.

- Tertiary qualification in a related discipline
- Mental Health First Aid
- HLTAID003 Provide First Aid
- Supervisory experience working with a project team within a mining, heavy haul rail or Infrastructure environment.
- Current Rail and Coal Board Medical, Standard 11, S1, S2, S3 and SARC and RIW certification
