We are recruiting an Asset Management / Reliability Specialist for the Carmichael Mine, which is a 10mtpa coal mine located north-west of Clermont in central Queensland.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Lead - Asset Strategy you will be responsible for overseeing both Bravus owned assets and contractor supplied assets at our Carmichael Mine.
There are a series of activities that require oversight from a technical and contractual management perspective to support our contracts and ensure that assets are maintained to a standard that achieves the businesses long term performance requirements.
Responsibilities of the role include:
- Request, review and audit downtime associated RCA’s from contractors
- Build asset performance improvement plans to address chronic or systemic performance below plan
- Govern site reliability processes and plant and equipment standards
- Conduct financial investigations into variations to contract costings and claims
- Provide responses to business queries on maintenance costs and strategies
- Coordinate communications for major downtime events and repair status
- Conduct in field inspections and audits of maintenance activities to monitor maintenance executions service quality
- Develop, justify and implement capital projects to facilitate equipment performance improvements
- Manage procurement and commercial related matters for company supplied materials and consumables
- Manage owner asset procurement from approval to delivery and commissioning
- Liaise on behalf of the company with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) to ensure performance of assets

Other qualifications and attributes required include:
- Background in managing asset strategies and maintenance execution within a heavy industry environment across either fixed plant or mobile equipment
- Business acumen regarding cost management and reporting
- Proficient in technical report writing
- Ability to collect and analyse data to identify acute issues and systemic trends
- Base level understanding of root cause analysis methodologies and corrective action planning
- Experience managing contractor interfaces with various internal and external stakeholders
