About the Role

The Manager – Audit, Risk & Assurance Services will be responsible for leading the delivery of our enterprise-wide audit, risk, compliance and business continuity programs. 
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this is a critical leadership role responsible for driving assurance activities across a diverse portfolio that includes mining, rail, port and renewable energy operations. Working closely with the Board, Executive Leadership Team and business leaders, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening governance, improving controls and ensuring risk-informed decision-making across the organisation.

Responsibilities of the role include:

•    Provide assurance over governance frameworks, Delegations of Authority and Standard Operating Procedures. 
•    Develop and deliver the annual internal audit and assurance program.
•    Lead and execute audit engagements across multiple business units.
•    Present audit outcomes, recommendations and assurance insights to the Board and Executive Leadership Team.
•    Maintain and continuously improve the enterprise risk management framework.
•    Oversee risk registers and deliver quarterly risk reporting to the Board and Executive.
•    Foster a strong risk-aware culture while supporting business performance and operational excellence.

What we are looking for

•    Relevant tertiary qualifications and professional certification such as CA, CPA, CIA or equivalent.
•    15+ years' experience in audit, risk and assurance environments.
•    Demonstrated success building and enhancing audit and risk management functions.
•    Strong experience influencing senior stakeholders, executives and boards.
•    Extensive business continuity and enterprise risk management expertise.
•    Outstanding written, verbal and presentation skills.
•    Ability to balance independent assurance responsibilities with a collaborative business partnering approach.
