This gardener role involves a range of important responsibilities to keep the town's green spaces in top condition. You’ll be responsible for monitoring the health of plants, trees, and shrubs, ensuring they’re thriving through tasks like fertilizing, watering, weeding, trimming, and mowing. Keeping the public areas clean and inviting by managing litter removal and lawn care. The role offers variety, as you'd be working across different Council-managed locations, ensuring these spaces are well-kept for the community to enjoy.
This position is permanent full-time, 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday and includes access to Council-funded enrolment and completion of a Certificate III in Horticulture, including all related expenses.
Salary Benefits
- Remuneration at Grade 2 of Council’s salary system ($990.19 - $1,120.19 / week) depending on qualifications and experience
- Adverse Working Conditions Allowance currently $18.92/week
- 11.5% superannuation
- 9 day fortnight
- 4 weeks’ annual leave
- Sick, Carers and other leave as per the Local Government (State) Award
