Position Overview

The Care Coordinator is responsible for delivering professional, customer-focused service at the Bogan Shire Medical Centre. This role involves managing day-to-day administrative tasks, coordinating patient appointments, and ensuring the confidentiality and accuracy of patient records.

As the first point of contact, the Care Coordinator will embody the values of Bogan Shire Council by providing a friendly and supportive environment for patients, while also effectively managing the Medical Centre's operational needs.

The operating hours of the Bogan Shire Medical Centre are between 8:00am and 5:00pm, Monday to Friday. Casual Care Coordinators will be required to work on an as needed basis.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess a combination of administrative expertise and interpersonal skills, ensuring a high level of service delivery.

  • General knowledge of business administration principles and office management.
  • Strong organisational skills to handle multiple priorities efficiently.
  • Excellent communication abilities with a focus on confidentiality.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business Administration or related fields.
  • Australian residency or appropriate visa for permanent employment.
  • A current First Aid Certificate and knowledge of relevant medical terminology is desirable.

Salary & Benefits

  • Remuneration at Grade 4 of Council’s salary system ($43.32 - $50.15 including 25% casual loading) depending on qualifications and experience
