Position Overview
The Room Leader at the Early Learning Centre is responsible for the management and coordination of educational programs for children aged 0-2, 2-3, or 3-5 years. This role involves leading a team of educators, fostering a safe and stimulating environment, and ensuring each child's learning and development is supported. You will play a crucial role in building positive relationships with children and their families.
Key responsibilities include developing educational programs based on the Early Years Learning Framework, maintaining records of children’s development, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and standards. The Room Leader will also oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring the highest quality of care and education is provided.

Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate for the Room Leader position will be passionate about early childhood education and committed to fostering a supportive community for families. You will possess strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively.
- Genuine interest in early childhood education and the ability to build warm, responsive relationships with children.
- Demonstrated knowledge of children’s services, early learning principles, teaching practises, and relevant legislation.
- Proven ability to lead a team, manage competing priorities, and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- A Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care OR a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care AND working towards a Diploma, with a minimum of 1 year practical experience.
- A current Working With Children Check and First Aid Certificate.

- Remuneration at Grade 5 of Council’s salary system ($1,404.29 - $1,568.15 per week, depending on qualifications and experience)
