About the Organisation
Bathurst Family Day Care is an 'Exceeding' rated service seeking dedicated and motivated individuals to become part of a professional child care organisation.
Family Day Care Educators work with small groups of children between the ages of birth and 13 years in their own home. Educators provide flexible care including full time (5 days), part time , casual, before and after school, emergency, overnight and weekend care.
Bathurst Family Day is seeking expression of interest from suitable individuals to become registered Educators in Bathurst, Lithgow and Oberon Local Government Areas.
Selection Criteria
Essential:
- Cert III in Children’s Services or be willing to work towards this minimum qualification
- Current Approved First Aid qualification, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management qualification
- Able to comply with the requirements of the Child Protection (Working with Children) Regulation 2013 through the provision of a Working With Children Check
- Child Protection Qualification
- Good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Professional presentation and approach to work
- Be able to provide an environment which meets the needs of Education and Care National Regulations and Service policies and procedures
- Be able to provide care at your permanent residence
Highly desirable:
- Willingness to work non-standard hours and days
- Minimum age of 21 years
- Previous Family Day Care, Home Based or Centre based work experience
- Have the ability to work independently, plan and organise one’s own work
- Demonstrated knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety
