About the role
Bathurst Regional Council currently has an opportunity for an experienced Civil Engineer to join the Technical Services Section within the Engineering Services Department in the role of Forward Planning Engineer.
Reporting to the Civil Investigation Team Leader, you will be involved in floodplain modelling, and the provision of technical advice with regard to design, construction, hydrology and hydraulics. You will also be responsible for the investigation of traffic issues as required, and for contribution to and the implementation of a number of concurrent projects within Council's Engineering Department.
Key Requirements
- 4 year degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- Demonstrated ability to undertake engineering design
- Demonstrated ability to manage several projects simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- NSW Class C Driver’s Licence.

This position requires a pre employment health assessment which includes a functional, audio and drug & alcohol screen.
Salary: $1561.38 to $1640.42 per week + super
Position Status: Permanent Full Time
Hours of work: 35 hours per week with an RDO every third week
