About the role

If this sounds like you, Bathurst Regional Council currently has an exciting opportunity to join their Children's Services Team at Scallywags in the permanent full time role of Early Childhood Teacher.
To be successful in this role you will be an experienced and self-motivated Early Childhood Teacher with a genuine interest in providing high quality service to the families of the Bathurst community.
This position will be based in the Preschool room at our Children's Services (Scallywags) facility located in William Street. The centre provides a high level of education and care and as the Early Childhood Teacher you will contribute to making the service a point of difference from other child care providers.
The position will work alongside a team of professionals responsible for room management, child health and safety, education and planning and enriching children’s lives through play- based learning.
Key Requirements
- Degree in Early Childhood Teaching
- A demonstrated understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standards.
- Experienced in the provision of a quality educational program for children aged 0 to 5 years of age, in particular Preschool education.
- The ability to work cooperatively and flexibly within a team environment.
- Good communication skills with the ability to develop relationships with children their families
- Able to comply with the requirements of the Child Protection (Working with Children) Regulation 2013 through the provision of a Working with Children Check clearance
- Current approved First Aid, Emergency Asthma Management and Anaphylaxis Management training.

This position requires a pre employment health assessment which includes a functional, audio and drug & alcohol screen.
Salary: $1211.50 to $1272.83 per week + super
Position Status: Permanent full time
Hours of work: 35 hours per week, with an RDO every third week.
