Salary:  $940.70 - $988.35 per week + super and allowances

Position Status: Permanent full-time

Hours of work: 35 hour week with RDO every third week

About the Role

As Ganger Tree Crew within Council’s Recreation Section, you will be required to undertake general tree maintenance activities and a variety of work programs associated with Council’s Tree Maintenance Gang. Other activities required will involve labouring duties within the Recreation Section as required.

 

Duties will include supervision of tree crew staff, tree removal and maintenance activities, tree planting, playground maintenance and installations, general park labouring & maintenance duties associated with the Recreation Section and providing relief operation of other plant as required.

 

Key requirements:  
  • Ability to carry out various tree works and other projects related to the Tree Maintenance Gang
  • To competently operate items of plant associated with arboriculture activities to a satisfactory standard
  • Carry out the implementation of tree maintenance activities within Council controlled areas
  • Supervise the work of staff to ensure work is carried out in accordance with the direction of Council
  • To provide other related duties within the Recreation Section as required
  • To ensure that safe working procedures are observed and adhered to.
