The Talent Acquisition Coordinator is a newly created role that will play an important role in coordinating the talent attraction, recruitment & selection processes for Council. This role works closely with the Manager Human Resources and hiring managers across Council to implement recruitment & selection strategies and approaches, enabling the attraction of talent, quality selection decisions and the application of merit-based processes.

This role will also review Council’s ‘go to market’ approach & channels, our employer brand and benefits offerings.

The Talent Acquisition Coordinator makes a measurable & meaningful contribution to the effectiveness of Council and our success.

To be successful in this role you will have an outcome focused, can-do attitude, high levels of stakeholder engagement capabilities, and be a team player who is approachable, innovative and has the ability to work in a fast-paced diverse environment.

Key Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources management or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in recruitment or talent acquisition.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and negotiate with individuals at all levels within Council, strong stakeholder management & engagement.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyse information, analyse processes and formulate pragmatic solutions to meet business requirements.
  • Demonstrated business acumen and professional judgement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to carry out multiple projects and achieve set goals within the required timeframes.
  • A current Class C Drivers Licence.

This position requires a pre employment health assessment which includes a functional, audio and drug & alcohol screen.

Salary: $1,808.38 to $1,853.59 per week + super

Position Status: Permanent Full Time

Hours of work: 35 hours per week with an RDO every third week
