About the role

Bathurst Regional Council is currently seeking an enthusiastic, self-directed individuals with proven high-quality customer service and retail skills to work in the Bathurst Rail Museum. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing high quality customer service in the day-to-day operations of a Museum or Tourism environment.

Key Requirements

  • Ability to provide high-quality customer service whilst exhibiting a positive image of the Museum and Bathurst Regional Council.
  • Retail experience, including cash handling, shop presentation skills and stocktaking.
  • Demonstrated experience in dealing with people in a polite, timely and informative manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated and undertake tasks unsupervised.
  • Experience supervising other people. 
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team, providing positive input to reach mutual goals.
  • Computer skills, including word processing, database management, web and social media platforms.
  • A current paid Working with Children Check

This position requires a pre employment health assessment which includes a functional, audio and drug and alcohol screen.

Salary: $29.82 - $31.34 per hour + plus weekend loading where applicable + superannuation

Position Status: Permanent Part-time

Hours of work: 30 hours per week, Saturday to Tuesday, 8.45am to 5.00pm with a 45-minute lunch break
