Plant Operator - Labourer

About the role

Plant Operator / Labourer within Council’s Recreation Section, you will be required to undertake general tree maintenance activities and a variety of work programs associated with Council’s Tree Maintenance Crew including driving the crew’s truck and other plant.  Other activities required will involve labouring duties within the Recreation Section as required. 

Duties will include tree removal & pruning, tree planting, playground maintenance & installations, general park labouring activities, other maintenance duties associated with the Recreation Section and providing relief operation of other plant as required. 

Key Requirements

  • Ability to carry out various tree works and other projects related to the Tree Maintenance Crew.
  • To competently operate a truck & EWP truck, as well as other plant associated with the tree crew and the Recreation Section to a satisfactory standard.
  • To provide labouring and other related duties within the Recreation Section as required.
  • To ensure that safe working procedures are observed and adhered to.

This position requires a pre employment health assessment which includes a functional, audio and drug and alcohol screen.

 

Salary: $1,075.30 to $1,129.81 per week + 12% superannuation

Position Status: Permanent Full-time 

Hours of work: 38 hours per week with an RDO every second week
