About the role
Are you a self-motivated and experienced Executive Assistant with outstanding organisational, communication and computer skills?
Based in the General Manager’s unit, the role of Mayor’s Assistant is to provide effective and efficient administrative support to the Mayor, Councillors, and the General Manager. You will need to be flexible and proactive and able to work under pressure in a challenging and stimulating work environment to ensure deadlines are met.
This position will require some out of hours work.
Key Requirements
- Certificate IV in Office Administration or equivalent
- Typing speed of 60 words per minute
- Executive secretarial experience
- Excellent customer service skills
- Proficiency in the operation of various computer packages
- Ability to work in a confidential and political environment
- Experience in updating/maintaining databases and registers
- General clerical skills e.g. filing, record keeping
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Current NSW Class C Driver's Licence

This position requires a pre employment health assessment which includes a functional, audio and drug & alcohol screen.
Salary: $1,349.60 to $1,417.96 per week + 12% super
Position Status: Maximum Term - 12 Months
Hours of work: 35 hours per week with an RDO every third week
