The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for an assertive individual to coordinate Bega Valley Shire Council's Ranger Services team.

As the Ranger Services Coordinator, you will oversee enforcement and compliance activities relating to (but not limited to), activities under POEO Act, parking, use of public land, and building site environmental controls. You will coordinate the acquisition, maintenance and reconciliation of penalty notice instruments and associated software as well as deliver education awareness to the community on Ranger Services matters.

About You

We are seeking an individual who holds a Certificate IV in Government Investigations / Local Government (Regulatory Services) or a relevant equivalent qualification and has eight (8) years related experience.

You will have the following skills and experience;

  • Demonstrated thorough knowledge of contemporary investigation and regulation issues especially in relation to public safety, animal management, environmental regulation and the initiation of legal proceedings.
  • Demonstrated experience interpreting and applying legislation relevant to local government and enforcement and compliance.
  • Demonstrated frontline management leadership skills and experience.
  • Microchip Implanting and Animal Euthanising accreditation.

This is a permanent full-time position working 38 hours per week. Remuneration is $1713.70 per week, plus 10.5% employer superannuation contribution.
