The Opportunity
We have an opportunity for an interested individual to provide a range of specialist administrative services in support of the Community, Environment and Planning professional staff and the activities which they undertake.
As a Planning & Sustainability Support Specialist, you will provide administration support across the Planning & Sustainability section as well as assist in research activities being undertaken by other Planning & Sustainability staff. You will receive, process and check lodgement details for development application and subdivision works certificates.

About You
We are seeking an individual who holds a Certificate IV in Business Administration, Town Planning or other similar level qualification in a discipline appropriate to this position and has a current NSW Class C drivers licence.
You will have the following skills and experience;
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills including the ability to liaise and negotiate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Advanced computer skills including in the operation of databases, spreadsheets and MS Office programs.
- Skills in undertaking research, analysis and reporting.
- Demonstrated skills in the interpretation and application of planning legislation including (but not limited to) Local Environmental Plans (LEPs), Development Control Plans (DCPs) and Council policies.
Benefits
This is a permanent full time position working 35 hours per week.
The total remuneration package for this position commences at $77,835.68 gross per annum, comprising of:
- $1,348.50 per week base salary
- $148.34 per week superannuation (calculated at 11%)
