The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to operate a variety of civil engineering plant equipment for the purpose of construction and maintaining BVSC assets.
As a Pavement Construction Team Member (Plant Operator), your primary responsibility will be to operate a diverse range of heavy machinery, including graders, loaders, excavators, and rollers, to support pavement construction and maintenance projects. You will implement traffic control plans and may be required to operate plant equipment during emergency event situations as directed by the Works Superintendent.

About You
We are seeking an individual who holds a SafeWork NSW General Construction Induction Card (White Card) and has proven recent plant experience on pavement construction activities or similar.
You will have the following skills and experience;
- Demonstrated relevant experience in road and drainage works which may include (but not limited to): in-situ stabilisation, gravel re-sheeting, pavement upgrade, site levelling, pipe laying, culvert construction, drainage and environmental control installation.
- Demonstrated ability in the use of a personal computer and the associated use of Microsoft software packages, including Word, Outlook and Excel.
- Experience in operating and using variety of hand and power tools which may include (but not be limited to): chainsaws, concrete cutting saws, concrete vibrators and pumps.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret both paper and electronically based plans and schedules and apply these to work being performed,
Benefits
This is a permanent full time position working 38 hours per week.
The total remuneration package for this position commences at $67,975.75 gross per annum, comprising of:
- $1,172.40 per week base salary
- $134.83 per week superannuation (calculated at 11.5%)
