The Opportunity

We have an opportunity for a proactive and experienced individual to coordinate infrastructure services delivery and maintenance of Bega Valley Shire Council water supply and sewerage networks and lead teams and contractors to ensure asset management and safety outcomes.

As the Water & Sewer Maintenance Coordinator, you will oversee day-to-day asset maintenance and breakdown response to meet service outcomes, while also implementing preventive maintenance strategies. You will supervise maintenance activities, support budgeting for repairs, and lead a team of staff and contractors to ensure compliance, efficiency, and high safety standards.

About You

We are seeking an individual who holds a Degree (AQF 6) qualification in a relevant engineering discipline, or equivalent industry experience and has a minimum of 10 years' experience in the delivery of maintenance and infrastructure services.

You will have the following skills and experience:

  • Advanced practical knowledge of water supply and sewerage systems or other process-based facilities and systems.
  • Frontline management and leadership skills.
  • Advanced experience in asset management systems/software.
  • An understanding of contract management and program management and the ability to deliver to deadlines for internal and external stakeholders.

Benefits

This is a permanent, full time position working 35 hours per week.

The total remuneration package for this position commences at $133,701.88 gross per annum, comprising of:

  • $2,226.14 per week base salary
  • $267.14 per week superannuation (calculated at 12%)
  • $77.91 per week Civil Liability Allowance (calculated at 3.5%)
