The Opportunity
We have an opportunity for a hard-working individual to provide general labouring, maintenance, and repair services for BVSC’s built and natural environment assets.
As a Works Primary Labourer, you will perform general labouring duties necessary to carry out minor construction, maintenance and cleaning of BVSC assets and identify and report major defects to appropriate senior officer. You will perform specified routine and corrective maintenance on equipment used and maintain in a clean and tidy condition.

About You
We are seeking an individual who holds a SafeWork NSW General Construction Induction Card (White Card) and has experience in tasks associated with general labouring including (but not limited to); cleaning, minor construction works which may include concreting, carpentry, excavation, paving, fencing etc. and landscape maintenance activities.
You will have the following skills and experience;
- Basic ability to read plans and schedules.
- Basic written and developed verbal communication skills.
- Developed skills in the operation and maintenance of various hand tools and specialised equipment e.g. chainsaws, jackhammers, whipper snippers and mowers.
- Ability to operate a personal computer and basic skills in the use of Microsoft software packages including Word and Excel.
Benefits
This is a permanent, full time position working 38 hours per week.
The total remuneration package for this position commences at $66,549.80 gross per annum, comprising of:
- $1,142,68 per week base salary
- $137.12 per week superannuation (calculated at 12%)
