The Opportunity
We have an opportunity for an organised and approachable individual to support the People and Culture team in coordinating recruitment and training activities at Bega Valley Shire Council.
As a People and Culture Officer, you will assist with recruitment and onboarding processes and support the development and delivery of compliance and corporate training programs. You will also provide support to internal stakeholders and maintain Council’s Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and Learning Management System (LMS).

About You
We are seeking an individual who holds a Certificate IV in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or equivalent, and has demonstrated experience in recruitment and/or learning and development.
You will have the following skills and experience:

Proven ability to deliver prompt, high-level customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Experience using Microsoft Office, HRIS, LMS, and records management systems.

Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality.

Minimum of two (2) years of recent relevant experience in human resources or a related role.
Benefits
This is a permanent, full time position working 35 hours per week.
The total remuneration package for this position commences at $83,724.14 gross per annum, comprising of:
- $1,437.57 per week base salary
- $172.51 per week superannuation (calculated at 12%)
