The Opportunity
As Director | Infrastructure, you will provide strategic direction to the works and projects, water and sewer, assets and technical services, parks, aquatics and recreation and oversee resource allocation through long term financial plans, assets management plans and work plans. You will lead a positive workplace culture within the Directorate and as a member of the Executive team.

About You
We are seeking an individual who holds a degree-level qualification in an engineering discipline relevant to the position, with post graduate qualifications desirable, and has extensive experience in managing and leading multiple large teams of people ranging from professional staff through to para-professional and trades staff.
You will have the following skills and experience;
- Demonstrated experience in high-level strategic planning including financial/budgetary planning.
- Demonstrated experience in negotiating and delivering major infrastructure projects.
- Extensive experience in successfully working with internal and external stakeholders, including elected officials or members of boards to deliver outcomes similar to those outlined in this role.
- Additional skills, knowledge and qualifications that may be applicable to this position, such as experience in a local government environment, higher qualifications in management or leadership, post-graduate qualifications in engineering or a field related to this position.
Benefits
This is a permanent, full time position working a minimum of 35 hours per week.
The total remuneration package for this position is up to $296,080.56 gross per annum, comprising of:
- $252,278.02 Salary per annum
- $29,012.00 Superannuation per annum (calculated at 12%)
- $14,790.54 Motor Vehicle Allowance per annum
