The Opportunity
We have an opportunity for an approachable individual to lead Council's People and Culture area including workforce planning, job design, recruitment and selection, onboarding and induction, training and development, employee relations, industrial relations, and administration of Council’s HRIS.
As a People and Culture Coordinator, you will provide strategic leadership and day to day supervision of the People and culture team, fostering a collaborative, high performing, and values driven work environment. You will provide advice to managers and supervisors on HR matters including performance management, award interpretation, grievances, workplace investigations and employee exits.

About You
We are seeking an individual who holds a degree-level qualification in human resource management, business administration or organisational development and has knowledge and experience in interpreting and applying conditions of industrial Awards.
You will have the following skills and experience;
- Well-developed knowledge and experience in the provision of operational human resources, such as recruitment and selection, administration of employee data, performance management and employee relations.
- Demonstrated experience in preparing and implementing strategic human resourcing plans and workforce strategies.
- Working knowledge of computer software applications including Microsoft Office, records management software systems and human resource information systems.
Benefits
This is a permanent full time position working 35 hours per week.
The total remuneration package for this position commences at $105,041.66 gross per annum, comprising of:
- $1,803.60 per week base salary
- $216.43 per week superannuation (calculated at 12%)
