The Opportunity
We have an opportunity for an analytical individual to coordinate stakeholder engagement and support effective governance, legal, and land management by overseeing Council’s policy and compliance reporting, maintaining delegations, managing information requests and investigations, and facilitating the use of Council-owned and managed land.
As a Property and Governance Coordinator, you will coordinate and administer key property and governance functions across the organisation including the development and maintenance of registers related to property, legal matters, delegations, and secondary employment. You will coordinate the review and administration of Council’s policies and procedures along with maintain Council’s delegations and secondary employment registers.

About You
We are seeking an individual who has a degree level qualification appropriate to the position and five (5) years recent relevant experience.
You will have the following skills and experience;
- Experience, understanding and the ability to interpret legislation, particularly the Native Title Act and relevant provisions within the Local Government Act / Regulation and Crown Land Management Act/Regulation.
- Understanding of local government operations and the implications of these activities to the use and management of community and Crown land owned and managed by BVSC.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and respond to third-party information requests in a professional, accurate, and timely manner, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and organisational protocols.
- High level of written and verbal communication skills including demonstrated ability to positively influence, persuade and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Benefits
This is a permanent, full time position position working 35 hours per week.
The total remuneration package for this position commences at $111,185.98 gross per annum, comprising of:
- $1,909.10 per week base salary
- $229.09 per week superannuation (calculated at 12%)
