The Opportunity
We have an opportunity for a diligent individual to coordinate BVSC’s Compliance and Ranger Services team, including promotion and maintenance of public safety, prevention and control of public nuisances and unauthorised activities, and environmental protection through targeted initiatives.
As a Compliance and Ranger Services Coordinator, you will audit and review signage installed on lands managed by BVSC, coordinate the planning and management of BVSC’s animal control areas. You will assist the Manager of Certification and Compliance with specific projects or administrative tasks as required and provide advice to the public regarding priority compliance matters.

About You
We are seeking an individual who holds a PSP40416 Cert IV in Government Investigations, or LGA40504 Cert IV in Local Government (Regulatory Services) or other equivalent relevant qualification. And has demonstrated experience interpreting and applying legislation relevant to local government and enforcement and compliance.
You will have the following skills and experience;
- Demonstrated thorough knowledge of contemporary investigation and regulation issues especially relating to public safety, animal management, unauthorised development and use of land, environmental regulation and the initiation of legal proceedings.
- Demonstrated frontline management leadership skills and experience.
- Eight (8) years’ recent experience in a law enforcement or related position (indicative).
- Additional skills, knowledge and qualifications that may be applicable to this position, such as higher qualifications in investigation, experience or qualifications as a building surveyor (expired, current or working towards), conflict resolution skills, HLTAID003 – Provide first aid (Unit of Competency), other specialist training or work experience.
Benefits
This is a permanent, full time position working 35 hours per week.
The total remuneration package for this position commences at $123,940.54 gross per annum, comprising of:
- $2,128.10 per week base salary
- $255.37 per week superannuation (calculated at 12%)
