Career Adventure Week Application

The City has launched a first-of-its-kind internal work experience program, Career Adventure Week!!

Career Adventure Week is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a different business unit within the City of Gold Coast. This internal work experience program is designed to help you explore new career paths, develop your skills, and broaden your professional network. Whether you're looking to expand your understanding of other departments or take the first step toward a career change, Career Adventure Week is your chance to immerse yourself in a different role and gain fresh insights.

Your application will allow us to understand your goals and how this experience aligns with your personal development. We encourage you to think carefully about how you can make the most of this opportunity, as it’s a unique chance to grow professionally. While there’s no guarantee of job opportunities as a direct result, the effort and enthusiasm you put into the program could help you stand out for future roles.

• Monday 4 November - Friday 8 November, 2024

• Please note some experiences will be offered outside of these dates. 
• Application close Friday 11 October however some experiences require an earlier cut-off date so preference will be given to those who respond promptly.

• Once you have chosen the experience for you, please complete the below questions. 
• Once your application is complete, it will be sent to your line leader for endorsement. 
• Once endorsed, we will review your application and you will be advised of the outcome at the earliest opportunity. 
• Please note that should you wish to apply for multiple positions that you will have to fill out an application for each individual experience.
