We have opportunities for casual Therapeutic Residential Support Workers to work within the Therapeutic Practice Framework, using the Reach For The Stars Model to help children achieve great outcomes through person centred active support, so they can live enjoyable and fulfilling lives.

You will be guided through a comprehensive 3 day induction, as well as shadow shifts and provided with feedback and support.

The Department of Families, Fairness & Housing (DFFH) require all staff who work with children in Out of Home Care (OoHC) to be qualified to a minimum standard of Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (Residential and out of home care). Employment is dependent upon a Police Check and successful assessment by the Carer's Register and the Disability Worker Exclusion Scheme. Successful applicants will be required to supply a current Working with Children check for an employee, a current Level 2 first aid qualification and CPR update. If you have lived outside of Australia for more than 12 months in the last 10 years, you will be required to supply an international police check from the country where you lived. Employment cannot commence until these checks are received and assessed.

Successful applicants will also be required to undertake the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission online Worker Orientation training module called ‘Quality, Safety and You’ prior to attending induction. This is a pre-employment requirement and if not completed, employment will not proceed.
