The role:
Cater Care Services have a unique opportunity for hospitality leaders to join our team as a Utility/Relief Camp Manager across our remote mining village operations. This role will predominantly focus on utility all rounder duties but also include site management responsibilities. This is a great opportunity for an experienced site manager looking for a varied role or an experienced utility all rounder looking for that next step in their career to progress.
Management Duties:
- Management of site & all contract scoped accommodation and catering services
- Impeccable client relationship development / management
- Demonstrable team management, development & leadership
- Full financial performance and P&L responsibility with a focus on labor and food costs
Utility Duties:
- Housekeeping duties - room and ensuite cleaning, making beds
- Kitchen hand duties - assist with basic food prep and significant dishwashing
- Dining room duties - maintain cleanliness, stock and crib food levels
- Bar & retail duties - serving residents in the camp bar and shop areas
- Common Area Cleaning - emptying bins, sweeping, mopping, general cleaning
- Laundry Services - washing, drying & sorting of linen and other items
- Mine Site Cleaning - general, ablution and mine site offices cleaning
- Repetitive, physical tasks, including heavy lifting and bending
What we require from you:
- Accommodation reservations systems experience would be preferred (INX, SAMS, RMS)
- Stable & progressive management experience within a remote environment or extensive experience in a utility all rounder role and looking for the next step to progress.
- A commitment to genuine, friendly customer service
- A motivated, constructive and professional ‘can-do’ attitude
- Resourcefulness, resilience and enthusiasm
- Adherence to food & general safety practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
- Physically fit and able to work long hours with repetitive tasks
- Pride in personal appearance & hygiene
- Ability to work in varying degrees of heat, cold, humidity & inclement weather
- A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (highly desirable but not essential)
- Manual drivers’ license (preferred) and forklift ticket (highly desirable)
- National Police Clearance within the last six months or willing to obtain
- Approved Managers (preferred)
