What We are Looking For
As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in creating a safe and engaging learning environment for children. Your responsibilities will include assisting in the preparation, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs that align with current regulations and the framework set by the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards.
You will foster positive relationships with children, families, and the community while supporting the individual needs of each child. This position demands a commitment to promoting the mission and values of CatholicCare in all aspects of your work.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:
- A Diploma in Children's Services (or equivalent).
- Experience in delivering quality education and care for children.
- Strong knowledge of the National Quality Standards and Early Years Learning Framework.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and colleagues.
- Proficiency in time management and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- A commitment to promoting and applying the mission and values of CatholicCare.
In addition, you will need to be willing to obtain a Working with Children's Check, National Criminal History Record Check, and relevant child protection training as part of the pre-employment requirements. Experience supporting children with diverse learning needs is desirable.
The role requires the ability to perform manual handling duties, including lifting up to 10kg, bending, kneeling, and maintaining good cardiovascular fitness. Candidates should be prepared for a physically active role that includes standing and sitting for extended periods.
