The Senior Practitioner plays a dual role in service delivery and clinical supervision within the School, Student & Family Program (SSFP). The Senior Practitioner provides direct support to schools through counselling, group work programs and crisis intervention while also offering clinical supervision to School Counsellors to ensure ethical, professional and effective practice.

What you bring to the role
-
Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Counselling or Psychology
-
Eligibility for professional membership with one of the following: Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA - Clinical), Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA - General Registration for Psychologists)

Working with Children Check (WWCC)

An unencumbered NSW drivers licence and access to a vehicle for school travel

Minimum of five years' experience in counselling, casework and group work with children, adolescents and families
- Demonstrated expertise in strengths-based practice and early intervention strategies
- Understanding of risk assessment and escalation processes, including safety planning and responding to concerns relating to child safety

Client-centred and ethical appoach, collaborative and team-oriented and resilient and adaptable
