We are looking for empathetic and motivated School Counsellors to join our School, Student & Family Program. School Counsellors provide counselling and group work to students, as well as consultation to support parents, carers and school staff. School Counsellors work closely with multiple stakeholders to promote a holistic model of care that enhances student wellbeing

What you bring to the role

Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Counselling or Psychology
-
Eligibility for professional membership with one of the following: Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA - Clinical), Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA - General Registration for Psychologists)

Proven experience providing counselling, case work and group work interventions for children, adolescence and families
- Demonstrated ability to apply strengths-based practice and early intervention strategies
- Knowledge of a range of evidence-based counselling approaches and interventions
- Strong knowledge of child protection legislation, mandatory reporting requirements, and best practice protocols in working with vulnerable children and families
