We are looking for an empathetic and client-centered School Counsellor to join our School, Student & Family Program (SSFP). The School Counsellor provides counselling through a holistic care model, with a strong focus on supporting and enhancing student wellbeing.

Pay rate: $44.05 to $52.91 per hour depending on experience

What you bring to the role
- Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Counselling or Psychology
- Eligibility for professional membership for one of the following: Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), Psychotherapy & Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA - Clinical), or Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHRPA - General Registration for Psychologists)
- WWCC
- Sound understanding of child and adolescent development, mental health issues, and risk and protective factors impacting wellbeing and school engagement
- Knowledge of range of evidence-based counselling approaches and interventions
- Have a client-centered and empathetic approach to counselling and supporting student wellbeing
- Have resilience and adaptability to respond to flexible changing needs and critical incidents
