Are you an experienced Registered Nurse ready to step into a senior clinical role that combines hands-on care with genuine leadership? Join CatholicCare Wollongong as a Senior Registered Nurse – Clinical Care Partner, where you'll mentor a dedicated team while managing a caseload of clients with complex needs in the community.

We are recruiting a Senior Registered Nurse to provide expert clinical guidance, advanced case management, and team leadership across our Aged & Disability Services programs. This is an office-based role either in the Illawarra or Macarthur region.

  • Payrate: $55.68/hour + NFP Salary Packaging + KM reimbursement
  • Hours per week: Full time, 38 hours/week. We are open to a part-time role for the right candidate.

  • Location: Office based, either in the Illawarra or Macarthur regions.

What you'll be doing

  • Mentor and support a team of Registered Nurses, Care Partners, and Care Workers to deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred care
  • Manage a caseload of clients with complex or high-risk clinical needs, including end-of-life and palliative care planning
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop person-centred care plans in collaboration with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Lead clinical governance activities including audits, risk management, and compliance with strengthened Aged Care Standards
  • Advocate for clients on funding decisions, care entitlements, and service access, including ACAS liaison
  • Support clients through transitions in care and coordinate services across health providers and community stakeholders

What we're looking for

Essential

  • Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
  • Demonstrated experience working with complex clients in aged care, disability, or community settings
  • Demonstrated clinical leadership and mentoring capability
  • Current NSW Driver's Licence
  • Current First Aid Certificate

Desirable (highly regarded)

  • Advanced clinical assessment and case management experience
  • Knowledge of Home Care Packages (HCP) and Support at Home program
  • Experience in palliative care, dementia, or end‑of‑life care
  • Understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards and clinical governance
