Families Together Program – Team Leader
About the Role
As the Families Together Team Leader, you will provide leadership, supervision, and practice guidance to a team delivering intensive early intervention services to children and families with complex needs.
You will oversee day-to-day program operations, case practice, and service delivery, ensuring services are trauma-informed, culturally responsive, child-centred, and aligned with safeguarding requirements. Working closely with DCJ and community partners, you will support positive outcomes for children and families while fostering a collaborative and accountable team culture.
This is a unique opportunity to lead a new team and service establishment, where your input will help shape how the program operates locally.
- Position: Families Together - Team Leader
- Pay rate: $110,102.72 p.a.
- Hours per week: 38 hours per week (Monday to Friday), flexible start and finish times, apply
- Position type: Permanent Full Time
- Location: Campbelltown, Wingecarribee, Camden, Southern Highlands

What You Bring to the Role
You are an experienced and values-driven leader committed to child safety, family preservation, and achieving positive outcomes for children and families experiencing complex needs.
You will bring:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Welfare, Community Services or a related discipline
- Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience within child and family services
- Extensive experience working with vulnerable children, young people, and families experiencing complex needs
- Strong knowledge of child protection legislation, safeguarding requirements, mandatory reporting, and risk management frameworks
- Experience leading trauma-informed, strengths-based, restorative, and child-centred practice approaches
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and support staff within high-volume and complex service environments
- Strong skills in stakeholder engagement, including working collaboratively with DCJ, interagency partners, and community services
- Excellent written, verbal, organisational, and decision-making skills
- Confidence using case management systems, data reporting tools, and Microsoft Office applications
- Demonstrated commitment to culturally responsive and inclusive practice, particularly when working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and CALD communities
- A current NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- Current NSW Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel across Macarthur and Wingecarribee regions
