As the OSHC Director, you'll lead a thriving service where children feel safe, supported and inspired to learn through play. You'll provide strategic and operational leadership across every aspect of the service—from educational excellence and child safety to team leadership, compliance, family partnerships and financial sustainability.

This is an opportunity to shape a positive team culture, mentor educators, strengthen quality outcomes and make a genuine difference in the lives of children, families and your local school community.

Why You'll Love This Role

This is more than managing a service—it's an opportunity to lead a passionate team, build meaningful relationships with families and schools, and create an engaging environment where children thrive.

You'll have the opportunity to:

  • Lead a well-established OSHC service with the support of an experienced leadership team.
  • Inspire, coach and develop a high-performing team of educators.
  • Drive educational excellence through the My Time, Our Place Framework.
  • Lead continuous quality improvement and Assessment and Rating readiness.
  • Build strong partnerships with families, schools and the wider community.
  • Develop your leadership career within a growing, values-driven not-for-profit organisation.

What We Offer

At CatholicCare, we recognise that our people are our greatest asset. In addition to meaningful work, we offer:

  • Up to $18,550 tax-free salary packaging
  • 15 days paid personal leave each year
  • 3 additional days leave over the Christmas period
  • Study leave and ongoing professional development opportunities
  • Fitness Passport – access to a wide range of discounted gyms and fitness facilities
  • Free and confidential Employee Assistance Program
  • Refer-a-friend incentive program
  • Opportunities for career growth and internal progression

What You'll Bring

We're looking for an experienced and confident leader who is passionate about delivering high-quality education and care while building strong teams and positive community partnerships.

  • Leadership and educational expertise – At least two years' leadership experience within an education and care service, with demonstrated success leading teams, mentoring educators, fostering a positive workplace culture and driving high-quality, play-based programs aligned with My Time, Our Place.
  • Strong sector knowledge – Sound knowledge of the National Quality Framework, National Law and Regulations, Assessment and Rating processes, Quality Improvement Plans and child safe practices.
  • Operational capability – Experience managing rosters, budgets, compliance, administration and the day-to-day operation of a service while supporting sustainable, high-quality service delivery.
  • Professional skills and mandatory requirements – Excellent communication, organisational and relationship-building skills, current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications, approved Child Protection training, a paid employee Working With Children Check, an unrestricted NSW Driver Licence, and the ability to undertake the responsibilities of Nominated Supervisor and Educational Leader.
