Cook - New Campbelltown Early Learning Centre 

 

About the role:

As we proudly approach the opening of our brand-new, ultra-modern Early Learning Centre in Campbelltown, we have a permanent-part-time opportunity for a qualified cook to play a foundational role in establishing this centre! 

This role will see you working Monday to Friday for up to 55 hours per fortnight.

What you'll be doing:

As the ELC Cook of a centre offering long day care and preschool programs for children aged 2-5 years, your role will consist of:

  • Supporting children's health and wellbeing by preparing nutritious, high-quality meals and snacks. 
  • Maintaining strong food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Diligently adhering to child allergy & dietary action plans.
  • Preparing meal plans and ingredient orders.
  • Working closely with the Centre Director and Educators.
  • Creating positive mealtime experiences in a warm, inclusive environment.

  • $26.93 to $29.45 per hour depending on your qualification and experience

What You Bring to the Role:

  • Certificate III in Food Handling or equivalent qualification (desired, not essential) or relevant experience.
  • Valid certifications including First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis, and Child Protection Training or willingness to obtain.
  • A current NSW Working with Children Check.
  • Experience preparing nutritious meals and managing kitchen operations in early childhood, education, health or community settings.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety legislation, hygiene standards and allergy management requirements.
  • Excellent organisation, communication and time management skills, including stock control and ordering.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
  • A strong commitment to child safety, wellbeing and inclusive, culturally responsive practices.
