We are looking for a passionate individual to join our Fostering Futures team. The Case Support Worker will support the Case Managers with case planning and documentation, referrals, appointments, home visits, family finding and day-to-day team priorities for the provision of quality case management, supporting children and young people (aged 0 – 18 years), who live with foster carers in short-term, long-term or respite foster care placements throughout the Macarthur, Southern Highlands, Illawarra and Shoalhaven regions.

This is a casual position based at our office in Campbelltown. We are offering a hybrid work model, with a few days at the office and the rest working from home.

The salary range for this position is between $46.68/hour - $50.06/hour + superannuation.

Our requirements to provide care

  • Minimum Certificate III qualification or tertiary qualification in a relevant field including community services, social work; social science; welfare; education, youth or psychology
  • An understanding of child and adolescent development, parenting practices, effects of family violence, trauma, abuse and neglect.
  • An understanding of child protection and out of home care policy, legislation and standards.
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) and proven ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated experience working with marginalised individuals and families with complex needs and the ability to relate to people from diverse cultural and social backgrounds
  • Demonstrated ability to reflect on feedback from others, use it as an opportunity to learn and take appropriate action. 
  • Employees are required to be vaccinated in accordance with WH&S Policy 7 COVID-19 Vaccinations
  • Excellent IT and computer skills, including a good understanding of the Microsoft Office suite (MS Word, MS Excel, and Outlook) and client management information systems.
  • Proven ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Senior First Aid Certificate
  • Willingness to work in accordance with CatholicCare mission, values and Framework for Practice.
  • Unencumbered NSW Drivers Licence.
  • Hold a current NSW Working with Children clearance.
