As a Case Work Support Officer within the Fostering Futures program, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young people who need it most, helping them navigate the complexities of foster care with care and compassion.
As part of our innovative approach to child protection and out-of-home care, you will work within a dynamic team that is committed to fostering positive outcomes for children aged 0-18. With your assistance, Case Managers will develop effective case plans that address the unique needs of each child, ensuring their safety and well-being while also promoting their right to maintain connections with their birth families.
The Role You Will Play
As a Case Work Support Officer, your mission will be to provide comprehensive support to Case Managers, empowering them to deliver exceptional case management services. Your responsibilities will include:
- Offering administrative and clerical support to ensure smooth operations, including managing records and coordinating meetings.
- Facilitating meaningful family interactions and supervising visits to foster bonds between children and their families.
- Assisting with home visits and crafting insightful reports to guide case planning and decision-making.
- Participating in professional development opportunities to stay informed about best practices and legislative changes in child protection.
Your Unique Profile
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual who embodies our values and is eager to make a lasting impact. The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum Certificate III qualification in community services, social work, or a related field.
- A solid understanding of child development, trauma, and the challenges faced by marginalized families.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.
- A proactive approach to learning and a commitment to continuous professional development.
- A valid NSW Driver's License and current Working with Children clearance.
