CORPORATE AFFAIRS SPECIALIST

 

Gladstone Ports Corporation (GPC) is offering an exciting temporary fixed-term opportunity for a Corporate Affairs Specialist to lead our brand, reputation, and stakeholder engagement efforts. This full-time role is ideal for an experienced communications professional ready to make a significant impact while supporting our Government & Corporate Relations team.

Role Overview

As Corporate Affairs Specialist, you will:

  • Lead the delivery of communication and stakeholder engagement strategies
  • Support government relations and prepare materials for the shareholder Ministers and key stakeholders
  • Enhance GPC’s reputation and social licence to operate through proactive communications
  • Oversee external events and support crisis and issues management
  • Monitor government, regulatory, and industry trends to identify opportunities and risks
  • Prepare high-level reports and briefings for the Board, Executive Leadership Team and other as required.

 

What We’re Looking For

To succeed, you’ll bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field
  • Proven experience in strategic communications, stakeholder engagement, and crisis management
  • Strong leadership skills with experience coaching and managing teams
  • Ability to liaise confidently with government and ministerial offices
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Commitment to upholding GPC’s values and workplace safety

 

Desirable: IAP2 Certificate in Public Participation and Maritime Security Identification Card (or ability to obtain).
