Your Role
An exciting opportunity currently exists within the Emmaus College team. We are seeking a Community Relations Officer to commence during Term 3, 2024 until 19 September 2025.
Typical duties of this role include:
- Display initiative and self-direction to ensure accuracy, currency and function of the College’s communication channels, such as the Emmaus College mobile application, campus electronic signage, social media, website and intranet, with a view to promoting two-way communication and engagement with parents, students and key stakeholders.
- Compile, produce and update school communications and publications to staff and students as well as prospective, commencing and current families, including notices to parents, the College prospectus, annual magazine, brochures, handbooks, calendar and promotional video.
- Utilise skills in the use of specialist software such as content management systems (e.g mobile application and website systems) as well as Adobe and Microsoft Office suites.
- Ensure consistency, visibility and continual development of the Emmaus College brand guidelines through parent and staff communications, publications, advertising, social media and the College website.
- Organise and facilitate College promotional activities by managing the College’s presence in public places and events such as shopping centres, expositions and exhibitions.

The successful applicant will have relevant experience and an understanding of, and a commitment to, the ethos of Catholic Education. In addition, you will have excellent time management skills and well developed interpersonal skills.

Mandatory Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications at Associate Diploma/Diploma level or equivalent knowledge, qualifications and experience relevant to the position may be required.
- Australian work rights
- A current valid Blue Card under the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000 (WWC Act) and valid Suitability Notice is a requirement of the position
- Undertake Student Protection Training
- Undertake Workplace Health and Safety Training
