Your Role

An exciting opportunity exists for an Administration Assistant (IT Helpdesk). This is a term-time continuing position, working 30 hours per week, commencing January 2025 or as negotiated with the successful applicant. 

The Administration Assistant (IT Helpdesk) provides support to the Information Technology Department and will be the first point of contact. As part of your role, you will assess and refer requests from staff, students and parents.

Other duties include:

  • Within routine methods and procedures, communicate via phone or email with students, parents, staff and warranty technicians regarding repairs and warranties of notebooks issued/purchased through the College.
  • Carry out routine technical checks to assess damage, reimage notebooks, apply software updates, connect notebooks to the College network and undertake minor repairs.
  • Carry out a wide range of administrative tasks including but not limited to the creation of Excel spreadsheets to record data relating to purchases, breakages and repair scheduling for the IT Services Department.
  • Assist with the preparation of documentation relating to DAPR (Digital Assistant Program).
  • Prepare and monitor student computer rolls, breakage reports and diary notes from parents, referring identified studentship issues to the Responsible Thinking Program Leader

Mandatory Requirements

  • A current valid Blue Card under the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000 (WWC Act) and valid Suitability Notice is a requirement of the position.
  • Tertiary qualifications at degree level or equivalent knowledge and experience may be required.
