About us
Catherine McAuley College opened its doors in 2022, in order to meet the growing demand for a quality, Catholic Education in the Mackay region. Starting with pioneering Year 7’s in 2022, they will grow into a complete Years 7 to 12 profile by 2027.
Built on the former site of the historic Mackay Sugar Research Institute, our brand new college offers first class facilities to cater for staff and students to ensure the delivery of quality teaching and learning practices.
Your Role
An exciting opportunities exist for a Classroom Support Assistant within our Visual Arts department. The Classroom Support Assistant (Visual Arts) sources and maintains specialty Art supplies for the Visual Art Department and assists Teachers with student learning, either individually or in groups.
This is a term-time continuing position commencing from 14 July 2025 or as negotiated with the successful applicant. This position will initially commence at 18hpw, with a view to increase in 2026.

Mandatory Requirements
- A current valid Blue Card under the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000 (WWC Act) and valid Suitability Notice is a requirement of the position.
